lived experience leadership & advocacy network

bringing people with lived experience and our allies together to innovate and influence change

The Lived Experience Leadership & Advocacy Network (LELAN) is open to anyone with a lived experience of mental health issues, as a consumer and/or carer, and our allies who want to be involved in activating change in South Australia.

We aim to be the go-to group for lived experience knowledge, skills and expertise in South Australia. Through working together innovatively, we will influence change.

What we do:

-> support lived experience voice and lived experience leadership in our State

-> influence policy with our lived experience perspectives in a ‘real’ and unified way

-> mutually support and assist our lived experience allies to share wisdom and resources

-> provide information and training around lived experience perspectives and frameworks

-> challenge and work to overcome the barriers to lived experience voice so that it is recognised, utilised and developed

-> explore and take action for how we might join together to further this cause
